Case Studies: Car/Truck Accident: Brain Damage

The Plaintiff was a bright 18-year-old female who was a passenger in an automobile. A 18-wheeler going approximately 65 mph went through an intersection and t-boned the vehicle on the passenger side, causing the Plaintiff to hit her head on the side window bar of her vehicle. The result was a coup-contra coup injury which caused extensive damage to her brain. She was in a coma for a month and then slowly recovered to the extent that she could function as a mildly retarded person. The case was tried in White County, Arkansas and the largest jury verdict in the history of that county was obtained. A set of annuities were purchased on behalf of the Plaintiff which has produced and continues to produce an income for her for life.
